Jessica and Peter Tatlow look forward to welcoming you to The George & Dragon, which is the youngest of the public houses in Watton-at-Stone.

The original building is early 17th Century and has served the locals well, being a watering hole, incorporating a butchers shop where the small dining room is now located, and a coal merchants at the rear.

The George & Dragon has a reputation for high quality food for which it has won many awards and accolades. In 1996 Jessica joined as head chef, and in July 2001 Jessica and Peter took on the 'George' from the previous owners.

Fine food and a relaxed atmosphere have always been characteristics. These traditions live on as strongly today with fresh cooked food and local produce where possible. We pride ourselves on giving value and top quality in warm and inviting surroundings - 'Gastro' dining with something for everyone.

Our well-kept ales are award winning (as is the way in which we serve them) and are a joy to be savoured. We have an excellent wine list chosen by us - yes by us and not a third party wine supplier.

There is a secluded and safe garden and as parents we welcome children.
